oh, baby! 10 tiny fingers and 10 tiny toes…. we’re waiting for stefano as everyone knows! what a fun group of girls gathering to shower adri before her precious baby boy arrives! adri, dressed in the most beautiful, white, flowing dress, walked into a baby wonderland that sunny saturday morning with her mom and mother in law. we adorned the house with the sweetest little baby clothes and socks. a tulle clothesline with turquise, gray, and white baby clothes and tiny socks hung in the window. branches with teeny tiny socks greeted the guests at the front of the house. a handmade sign with a teal tulle string saying “oh, baby” marked the entrance to the dining room. we set out crates that housed milk bottles to sip mimoas, coffe punch, and lemon -infused water. guests wrote their names on little handmade tags since after a few mimosas, it’s hard to find your bottle! all of these little treats were set on handmade, teal chevron runners. a spread of egg, sausage, and cheese casserole, a french toast casserole, a watermelon baby carriage, a bagel bar with lox & cream cheese, and chicken salad sandwiches left the girls wanting to roll out of the party. and then came the desserts!!! joyce, the paternal grandmother, brought alfajores and suspiros. yumm! the homemade cupcakes with gray frosting and strawberry cake pops were a special treat! nothing was left on the sweets table when i turned around! the sugar rush was just the right push for the games. 3 girls had to race to a baby bottle with a quarter between their knees. they all got a fantastic leg workout while the rest of us worked out our abs with all the laughter. next, 2 blindfolded friends had to find a way to lift weightless cotton balls into a bowl with a plastic spoon. too bad they found a way to cheat the system by using their thumbs to hold the cotton!!! the one with the least amount of cotton spilled won the game! the photo booth was so adorable. all the ladies took turns standing against the gray backdrop with all kinds of sweet baby boy props and phrases. as the girls left, they took with them a popcorn baggie with handmade tags that said “ready to pop” and tiny mason jars with kisses with custom made tags. such a special day to help adri gather goodies for stefano!
